Location: Temple, TX
Project Overview: Clark Roofing was selected to restore the roof system on the historic City of Temple Post Office, a landmark building that served as the city’s main post office beginning in the early 1900s.
The Challenge: The project required careful removal and replacement of the original flat clay tile roof system while protecting the historic character of the building and addressing underlying decking repairs.
Our Solution: Removed and replaced all original flat clay tiles, repaired damaged decking, and installed new high-temperature underlayment. The roof was completed with Luigi tiles and copper flashing for long-term durability and historic-quality detailing.
Execution: Project size: 240 squares. Completed in 14 days with careful material handling, precise installation, and attention to architectural detail.
Results: Restored the roof system with upgraded protection, preserved the historic appearance of the building, improved weather resistance, and delivered a durable finished product built for long-term performance.
Why Clark Roofing: Clark Roofing brings the craftsmanship, coordination, and technical expertise required for historic restoration projects where quality, detail, and preservation matter.
